Memorizing Pi

Memorizing numbers in sequence seems like it would be difficult. Well, it is. That is why I have created this page. Memorize 100 decimal places of pi and amaze your friends and teachers. There are main methods to accomplish this. The first I developed with my friend to memorize the first 100. The second is used by many others. There are "plusses" to both methods.

1.a.) Break pi or any other "sequence of numbers" into small groups with something in common. For example, 3. 1415 92 6535 8979 3238 4626 4338 3279 50288 4197 16 9399 ....

1.b.) Notice the pattern with the numbers in each group. In 1415, one can remember is as if counting ( 13, 14, 15, 16 ) or as a 1415.

1.c.) Memorize the first few groups all at once. For pi, memorize 3.1415926536. It will provide a base for all other memorization.

1.d.) Memorize addition groups by repeating to yourself ( or out-loud if propriate ) and the next group of numbers.

1.e.) Occasionally, repeat what you have memorized so far to help reinforce what you have just memorized.

2.a.) Memorize it a story or a sentence or something else that is memorable.
